  4. This file contains information you should read before installing or
  5. running BIBL/NET.
  6.  
  7. If upgrading from a version of BIBL/NET earlier than 3.x, you must
  8. first convert your existing database to the structure used since
  9. release 2.0.  Use BNETUP to accomplish the task.  If you are using
  10. the SHAREWARE version, extract your database to a BIX file (via
  11. export) then import it into an empty database created with release
  12. 3.0 or later.

  15. 1. This unregistered version of BIBL/NET is functionally identical
  16.    to the registered version with these exceptions:
  17.  
  18.    The Registered version will pick up the user name from
  19.    NetWare (the login name). If that name appears in the
  20.    BIBL/NET security database, then the user need only enter
  21.    a password.  If the name isn't found, there's no intervening
  22.    screen (as in SHAREWARE version which asks you to press RETURN
  23.    for Read-Only access), user moves directly to BIBL/NET.

  25.    No nag reminders about registration.
  26.    
  27.    Registered version is compiled for 286/386/486 processors.
  28.    Will not run on an 8088 machine.   If you must have the
  29.    registered version running on an 8088 workstation, we can
  30.    supply you with a 8088 version of the software.

  32. 2. Read BIBLNET.DOC, particularly the brief sections on installation
  33.    and security.  Understanding these two sections is critical
  34.    for success with the program.
